Is Social Responsibility one practice, one concept or a Some of both? Since 90's, to grown a Social Responsibility culture, became almost a management imperative to companies whom intent to remain competitive. Many however feeling their way through an uncharted territory. There are who affirm that some companies are doing nothing but being regret for produce goods and misery in just one time. Should the time to correct this have come, by social actions? It would be way to turn to the society and say: "Ok, we know that for 200 years we didn't have a good behavior, we extinguised animals and vegetables, we deforests, we polluted rivers and produce millons of pharmacologic around the world, but we are up to correct this mistake. From now we will do our part!"
Some critics may affirm that this is just Social Marketing with no results. But, some Social Responsibility defenders say that this is not the real idea, for them, big companies are "stack in between", and either they promote some social wellness, regardless the government action or they will be like the population.
There is where those social actions in favor of education, enviroment and health start to happen to bring back peoples quality of life. So they can remain, and sometimes, became to be citizens and consumers.
To BUWW Coverings, Social responsibility is an entrepreneurial view that worries about our social context, in other words, it doesn't mean we don't worry about profit. It means that we don't lock at it as an end itself, but as a way to reach a sustainability grown with more quality of life.
